Why do I get migraines very late in the night or early in the morning?
I notice that whenever I get migraines it usually is in the late morning like 3-4 am and throbbing pain. After I take some otc pain meds and I get up I usually start to feel better after an hour or so. I usually notice signs of new migraines appearing late in the evening, too, like before I go to bed. But could laying down make the migraines worse because of the circulation or blood flow?

I could, but I think that it probably has to do more with not sleeping properly. Not getting enough sleep, or too much sleep is a major cause – you need 7-8 hours of sleep a night – not 6, not 9.
Also, if you drink a glass of wine or beer before you go to bed, that can cause it too.
