What is the best way to cure a phobia of needles/syringes?
Whenever I so much as see a needle I start panicking and often faint. I am worried that this will be problematic later in life if I am ever involved in an accident, require a blood test, or simply need to go to a hospital, so I would like to know what type of therapy will work best to cure me of my phobia. Thanks for your answers

my boyfriend is deathly afraid of needles.
if i even so much as mention a shot being givin to someone, he wants to puke.
this is normal!
so many people are afraid of the same thing
I dont know how much this might help but, there is a website dedicated just to the fear of needles, and helpful ways to get over it (also states causes)

Become a phlebotomist or a nurse. Exposure to needles everyday will make them commonplace and no big deal.
most people feel as you do. You never get used to it..just ride the waves….
It’s a lot like labor..you know it’s coming…you know it will hurt like heck…but it eases up eventually…I liken it to riding a wave….the needle goes in at the crest but then no more pain and you ride it down.
Have the nurse who sticks you wipe off the alcohol used to clean the spot…it may be hurting when the alcohol gets in the skin because the needles they use now are almost painless.
get some injections and realize that it doesn’t hurt
