Panic attacks are when you get worried (or are even crying) to the point where its hard for you to gasp for air or breathe.
The best idea for your anxiety is to either get a therapist or just live with it.

Good luck =)

I have panic attacks. They make me feel dizzy, I can't breathe, my body goes numb, I get paranoid. I feel like I am dying or having a heart attack. It is horrible and the fear of having another makes me have one. I went to the ER once before I knew what was happening to me. The doc gave me a med that was an antihistamine so now I just take 1 or 2 Benadryls when I start to feel panicky and it calms me down. I don't want meds either. This is something I would like to conquer on my own. Knowing I wasn't alone helped a lot.

I have had panic attacks (as some Drs call them, and others call them heart murmers) where when I get really worried/stressed I get hot and then all of a sudden my heart starts beating a million miles a minute (or so it feels - it's actually approximately 130 beats/minute - what you would get your heart rate up to at a good gym workout), and 'really' hard - like as if my heart is going to beat right out of my chest. The first time I experienced one it scared the hell out of me - and it lasted over 3 hours! I was SO drained! But that was over 6 years ago and I can manage them much better now. Like you, I didn't want to go on any meds and have just learned to control them myself. Whenever I feel one coming on (or one starts) I just lay down and breathe deeply and drink water - sometimes I can stop them within 30 seconds now (which is SO good as it doesn't really affect my work/life anymore).
