What are some tricks to get rid of migraines?
I’ve had migraines for over 5 years now. It really isn’t my favourite experience in the world, i have to isolate myself in my room and make sure it’s completely dark. I’ve tried everything from medicine to alot of wives tales. If you have anything that helped you leave it here, I really want to get rid of these, thanks:)

I hate these sooooooooooooooooo much!! I used to get them at least once a month, now I get them maybe once every 5 months or so. I drastically changed my diet, drink lots of water and work out. I think that’s the biggest thing for me. Also, limiting computer/video game use helps. When I do get them, I take 3 Advil liqui-gels with warm water (so they dissolve quicker) and sleep in my room with darkness. I also put a cold rag over my forehead/eyes. I’m usually good in 4 hours
If you are looking for something that will get rid of them for good, then you probably won’t find anything for that. I have the same problem, though. I have had migraines for 11 years and have yet to get rid of them completely. I do know some ‘tricks’ for preventing them, though. When you wake up in the mornings, don’t try to force yourself back to sleep. You should drink fluids constantly(I know you’ve probably already heard this but it works). Don’t skip meals or eat irregularly. Whenever you do get them, get an ice pad or something cold and keep it on it for a while and take ibuprofen and lay down.
By now, if you have figured out what triggers them, try to avoid those triggering factors. And yes, staying in a calm, cool environment and placing an ice pack helps.
And ask your doctor about pre-medication or prophylaxis as to what fits best for you, since there are a number. And some patients have tried ‘ Ceragem therapy’ for 4 continous months and they found complete relief, see if you are a candidate. It is energy healing, moxibustion and massage treatment via certain gems incorporated in a machine.
And though the underlying causes can be many, your predisposition and the first time of onset, must have been quite a stressful period in your life,( even though one may not feel it externally) to pin-point and resolve this deep-seated issue, try regression therapy( going back in the past), some psychiatrists do this. They have even cured some cases of asthma, thru regression therapy.
Just take a browse as an example.
