social phobia
I have been diagnosed with social phobia and unfortunately had to quit treatment. That was several years ago and now I feel as if I get anxious over more and more things. I don’t go anywhere alone anymore, I don’t drive, I have no friends, etc…I am so depressed. I have an appointment that recently got pushed back to December….Is it normal or common to have panic attacks or severe anxiety in more situations if your anxiety is untreated?

I have general anxiety disorder and social phobia and I just started attending college and I really need something to help me in class. I would like to see someone who is open to benzos for anxiety. I have tried many anti- depressants and they don’t seem to help. If anyone can recommend someone that would be great! Thank You.

I have been diagnosed with social anxiety disorder (or social phobia.) It has gotten in the way of my life a little to much. I am a college student in my early 20s, so there is constant pressure of interacting with many people. Also, I am in charge of 31 people at my job. I am constantly being made fun of where I work, for my anxiety issues, (though they are not aware of my condition.) Is there any treatment other than Cognitive-behavioral therapy? Something that I can just do on my own?
