I had it when I was younger and it somehow became managable in my early twenties. I am 38 now and it has come back, I will have treatment this time and was wondering how it is treated and how long it will take to respond to it. I was diagnosed with ptsd about 10 yrs. ago and recently was diagnosed with the agoraphobia also social phobia, panic disorder and anxiety disorder. Is all of this just different aspects of the ptsd? Please help, this is horrible and lonely, if you have experienced this I would like to hear from you. Thanks.

Hello
I am trying to find information regarding how countries other than the United States treat panic disorders with or without agoraphobia–for example, Japan or Africa, Spain…basically wherever as long as it differs from the U.S. in some way. I’ve tried googling but have had no luck.
If you know, do you mind stating your source? I will have to cite it, as this is for a paper. I need to get a global perspective on this disorder.
Thank you!

One of my family members has panic disorder with agoraphobia. She’s been to therapy and the doctor, but does not want to take pills. She’s housebound, and seems to enjoy being domestically helpful and content being at home. She doesn’t seem to show much interest in the outside world. But, I do want to see her get better and regain her independence. How do I help get her out of the house and interested in life without forcing her to take pills?
