How long does it take for a childhood phobia to go away?
My 3 year old daughter has a phobia of the wind and we’ve tried everything, but it’s not getting any better.

Maybe play indoors with her causing wind. Take a windmill and have her blow on it. Let her start a fan and have it blow against wind chimes. While she is in the bathtub have her blow against the surface of the water to make ripples. Take the dandelions once they are all seedy and have her make a wish and blow on them. Then equate her blowing it with wind… like the other person said about dragons and rainstorms do something similar with something blowing air around
If it is truely a phobia, and not something like the latest way to get lots of attention, it won’t go away without treatment. You should see a psychologist.
You might show her that the wind is magical.. My duaghter was afraid of wind and thunderstroms, and I told her it was dragons dancing, and now she loves it..
Well, I myself had a phobia when I was young (a fear of sharp objects), ever since I could remember. Bad news is… I never got over it and I’m 26… good news… it’s alot easier to deal with the older you get. I remember I could stand it, but now it’s like whatever… I got used to it and I think it’s fading. Well, at least in my case… it’s doesn’t bother me as much
