I’m not even kidding. I have a horrible phobia of that old man that frolics about in a moth suit.

I’m reading about all these medications and herbs. I’m seeing stuff about cognitive therapy. I took meds like Lexapro and Zoloft in the past without much success. I have to take some steps to change my life, but don’t want to hit another dead end.

I have had a needle phobia for as long as I can remember; Its become a real problem. Please help me?
I am a big guy and feel stupid to say that I am afraid of needles, but I am truly terrified and no one seems to understand my problem. It has caused me to neglect medical treatment for years now. Far too often I have been told to "just get over it"; but I can’t seem to. I feel like telling me to get over my phobia is like telling a manic depressant to "just get over it". Any responses will be appreciated.

I have a phobia of loud popping noises, mostly just balloons. Whenever I hear one I freak out and roll into a ball crying. But afterwards, I sleep for hours and hours, even in the middle of school. Is this normal? I don’t really like the side effects of this phobia but why is it that I sleep after I get scared?

I had it when I was younger and it somehow became managable in my early twenties. I am 38 now and it has come back, I will have treatment this time and was wondering how it is treated and how long it will take to respond to it. I was diagnosed with ptsd about 10 yrs. ago and recently was diagnosed with the agoraphobia also social phobia, panic disorder and anxiety disorder. Is all of this just different aspects of the ptsd? Please help, this is horrible and lonely, if you have experienced this I would like to hear from you. Thanks.
