I’m going in for my first neurologist appointment soon for my migraines. What will happen?

I have horrible migraines. I have taken every type of presription medicine possible- none have worked. Usually when I get a headache, we resort to using steroids (which I hate). Is there any way I can use alternative medicine to help prevent or ease the pain of a migraine?

I have suffered from menstrual migraines monthly and have tried many pain relievers which only medicate the pain not balance my hormones at that time to prevent the imbalance that triggers it.
I tried synthetic hormones which were unsuccessful plus had many side effects from it. I have heard and read about bio-identical hormones and would really appreciate it if any one here personally has had any success with it.

I get migraines whenever I watch movies and they can get pretty bad. This is really hard to deal with cause of school Video clips. I just want to know is this normal or could there be something else? My symptoms are Tunnel Vision, Numbness in the hands and face and esophagus, and The Ponding HeadAches. Does anyon else get this or is it just me?
